Returns: Automatic Country Pre-Fill in the Returns Portal

When your customers create a return through the returns portal, PeakWMS now makes it even easier for them to enter their return address:

• Country is pre-filled: The returns portal now automatically fills in the sender country field with the country the order was originally delivered to. In most cases, the customer will not need to open the country selector at all.
• Less confusion for international customers: Previously, customers had to find their country in the language displayed in the portal (for example, "Netherlands" in English versus "Holland" in Danish). This could cause confusion when international customers searched under the first letter of their country's name in their native language. Browser-based translations could also create confusion in the country dropdown list.
• Still fully flexible: If the return shipment is unexpectedly sent from another country, the customer can still change and select a different country from the list.

What does this mean for you?

A faster and smoother returns experience for your customers, as well as fewer customer service inquiries from international customers who have difficulty finding their country in the list.

DanDomain Classic: Improved Product Tag Import from DanDomain

If you use DanDomain Classic Webshop integrated with PeakWMS, the product import has been expanded to transfer additional product details:

• Product tags are now imported: When PeakWMS imports or updates products from DanDomain, the product’s tags and values (such as information about colors, sizes, materials, or dimensions) are now automatically included in the data transfer.
• Preparation for extended product data: This creates the foundation for using and mapping specific tag values directly to products in PeakWMS in the future.

What does this mean for you?

PeakWMS now receives a more complete data set when importing products from DanDomain, paving the way for better utilization of product attributes in the warehouse.

OpenAPI: Automatic Deletion of Load Carriers/Pallets via API

If you use external systems or integrations (API) to automatically create load carriers (such as pallets, containers, or boxes) in PeakWMS, the integration has now been expanded to support deletion as well:

• Delete directly through the integration: External systems can now automatically delete a load carrier through the API when it has been emptied, has left the warehouse, or was created by mistake.
• Reuse of names and IDs: Since load carrier names are unique, this prevents old or incorrectly created load carriers from blocking the reuse of the same name or number.
• No more manual cleanup: There is no longer a need to manually access warehouse administration to delete obsolete pallets and boxes.

Your integrations can now automatically clean up completed or incorrectly created load carriers, reducing manual work and ensuring your warehouse remains up to date and well organized at all times.

Other Updates

Put-away: Faster Placement of Backordered Items

When receiving products with open backorders and putting them away in the warehouse, the workflow is now even faster:

• Instant confirmation when scanning: When you scan the barcode of the location where the item should be stored, the placement is automatically approved and completed immediately. There is no longer any need to press "Confirm Location."
• Protection when selecting manually: If you select the location manually on the screen, you must still press "Confirm Location" to prevent accidental clicks and placement errors.

Login: Faster Re-Login with QR Code After Session Timeout

If a warehouse employee has taken a break or their scanner/terminal session has expired, getting back to work is now much easier:

• Scan the QR code directly: Previously, employees had to manually enter their email address and password in the pop-up window. Now they can simply scan their personal QR code directly in the window, just like on the standard login screen.
• No unnecessary typing: Warehouse staff no longer need to enter credentials using the scanner keyboard and can immediately resume their work.

What does this mean for you?

Less wasted time and a smoother warehouse experience, allowing employees to quickly continue picking and packing after being logged out.

Orders: Always Display the Latest Error Message on Order Alerts

If an order encounters an error (for example, during synchronization or integration), PeakWMS creates an alert so you can respond quickly:

• Updated error message: If the error occurs again with a new or more precise explanation, the existing alert is now automatically updated with the latest error message. This ensures you are no longer looking at outdated information.
• Updated timestamp: Alerts now always show the most recent occurrence of the error, making it easy to see whether it happened moments ago or earlier in the day.
• No duplicates: You still avoid unnecessary clutter in the overview. There is still only one active alert per order and error type.

Inventory: More Accurate Stock Synchronization When Manually Creating Inventory

When creating inventory manually, either in the administration module or through the warehouse scanner app, the system now follows the same rules as standard goods receipt processes.

• No unintended webshop synchronization: If you create stock on a location configured not to synchronize with the webshop (such as an error location, quarantine area, or returns location), the quantity will not be sent to the webshop or POS system. This prevents non-saleable products from accidentally being offered for sale online.
• Blocked products are not reported as available: If inventory is created with a blocked or restricted status, it is correctly withheld and will not appear as available stock in your sales channels.
• No more misleading error messages: Previously, if stock for the same item already existed at the location, users could receive an error message even though the inventory had been created successfully. This issue has been fixed, ensuring a smooth process without false errors.

Greater confidence that your webshop and POS system always reflect the actual saleable inventory, whether products are received through purchase orders or created manually.

Returns: Accurate Return Fees for Return Orders from External Return Systems

If you use an external returns portal or third-party system to manage customer returns through an integration, return fee handling is now far more flexible and accurate:

• Return fee transferred automatically: Your return system can now automatically send the specific return fee to PeakWMS when the return order is created.
• Correct fee applied automatically: When the warehouse employee scans and approves the return, PeakWMS automatically applies the fee included with the return order.
• No longer limited to standard DKK values: Previously, the system depended on a fixed default setting that only worked for Danish orders in DKK. Now the actual return fee follows each individual return order, regardless of currency or country, provided the return system sends the information.

You avoid manual data entry and errors when deducting return fees, as the correct charge from your returns portal automatically follows the return throughout the warehouse returns process.

Orders: Automatic Cleanup of Extra Spaces in Address Data

When orders and returns are imported from your webshop, ERP system, or via API, PeakWMS now automatically removes leading and trailing spaces from address data:

• Fewer issues with postal codes and shipping labels: If a customer accidentally enters a space before or after their postal code or city name, PeakWMS automatically removes the extra spaces. This prevents false alarms regarding invalid postal codes and booking errors with carriers.
• Cleaner packing slips and labels: Address lines, names, and cities are now displayed consistently without unwanted indentation or blank lines on packing slips, delivery notes, and shipping labels.
• Applies everywhere: The cleanup is automatically performed on delivery, billing, and return addresses across all webshop and ERP integrations, as well as during manual address creation and editing in the administration module.

AutoStore: Improved Inventory Protection for AutoStore Integrations

If you use an AutoStore robotic warehouse integrated with PeakWMS, several new improvements help ensure inventory remains synchronized between PeakWMS and AutoStore at all times:

• No unintended location suggestions during put-away: When products are being stored in the warehouse, PeakWMS no longer suggests AutoStore's internal storage locations. This prevents employees from accidentally registering stock directly into AutoStore locations without the robots actually receiving the items.
• Manual inventory changes are blocked: Manual stock moves, inventory adjustments, and manual cycle counts on AutoStore locations are now automatically blocked in PeakWMS. Only the AutoStore system itself can manage and update inventory at these locations.
• No manual assignment of default locations: Products can no longer be manually assigned to an AutoStore location as their default storage location in the administration module.

You avoid unexplained inventory discrepancies and "missing" stock between PeakWMS and AutoStore, as the system ensures products can only enter the robotic warehouse through the correct AutoStore goods receipt process.

Bug Fixes

Products/Inventory: BBD and Batch Number Always Displayed When Creating Inventory

When manually creating inventory for products that require an expiry date (BBD) or batch/lot number, PeakWMS now ensures that you can always enter the required information:

• Fields are always displayed: Previously, if the product was found using quick search, a bug could prevent the expiry date and batch number fields from appearing. As a result, inventory creation could be rejected by the system without giving you the opportunity to enter the required information.
• Consistent workflow: Whether you locate the product through the search field or select it from the overview, the expiry date and batch number fields are now automatically displayed whenever the product is configured for date or batch control.

What does this mean for you?

You avoid interrupted inventory creation and error messages when receiving or creating stock for expiry-controlled and batch-controlled products.

ShopifyPOS: No Duplicate Shipments During In-Store Exchanges (Shopify POS)

If you use Shopify POS integrated with PeakWMS, the system now handles in-store exchanges more intelligently:

• Automatic pick cancellation: When a customer returns and exchanges an item directly at the store checkout and receives the replacement item immediately, PeakWMS automatically cancels the related warehouse pick line, provided picking has not already started.
• No more duplicate deliveries: Customers no longer risk receiving the replacement product both in-store and later by mail from the warehouse.
• Accurate inventory levels: Stock is deducted only from the store inventory, and no unnecessary inventory is reserved or deducted in PeakWMS.
• Backordered replacements still work: If the replacement item cannot be handed over in-store and instead needs to be shipped from the warehouse, the warehouse pick order is created exactly as before.

Cross-Docking: Accurate Receipt Timestamp for Cross-Docked Products

When receiving products that are immediately allocated to waiting customer orders through cross-docking without first being placed into storage, PeakWMS now records receipt information consistently:

• First receipt timestamp is automatically stored: Previously, the first receipt timestamp could be missing from the purchase order line if the product was handled exclusively through cross-docking. The exact time is now automatically recorded as soon as the cross-docking process is confirmed.
• Complete audit trail and traceability: A full goods receipt event is now created in the history, just as it would be during a standard goods receipt process.
• Accurate data for cost prices and accounting: Since the receipt timestamp is always recorded, cost calculations and reporting can reliably reflect the product's actual arrival time.

You gain complete visibility and an accurate history of when products actually arrived at the warehouse, regardless of whether they were stored on a shelf or shipped directly to customers through cross-docking.

Webshipper/DSV: Clear Carrier Error Messages for Rejected Shipping Labels

If a shipping label request is rejected by Webshipper or DSV, PeakWMS now displays the carrier's actual error message directly in the system:

• Carrier-provided reason displayed first: If a label generation fails due to an invalid postal code, missing address information, shipping agreement issues, or similar reasons, PeakWMS now displays the exact explanation returned by Webshipper or DSV. Previously, users often saw a technical data string or the generic message "The carrier did not provide a reason."
• Visible throughout the system: The actual error message is now clearly displayed in pop-up notifications, order history, the alarm overview, and the integration log.
• Faster troubleshooting in the packing area: Users can immediately identify what needs to be corrected, such as contacting the customer for a valid postal code, without having to guess the cause.
