New Feature

Single-Piece Packing: Bulk label printing and packing

Print all shipping labels and complete orders in a single step when a single-piece cart contains only one product.
Feature request
Significantly speeds up throughput at the packing station for high-volume, single-item orders by eliminating repetitive scans (e.g., replacing 40 individual scans with one confirmation). Because every item in the cart is identical, any label matches any item, enabling rapid labeling and dispatch while still allowing workers to pack one-by-one whenever preferred.
New Feature

Reports: New Pick Heatmap report

Visualizes warehouse picking activity directly on the warehouse layout with logarithmic hotspot coloring and location drill-downs.
Feature requestGives warehouse managers an intuitive visual overview of pick density across areas, racks, and floor locations. By clearly highlighting high-traffic hotspots and picking patterns over chosen timeframes, it empowers teams to optimize product slotting, minimize walking distances, and improve overall picking efficiency.
New FeatureBin Packing: Visual inspection of load unit type calculations A dedicated visual interface showing how and why specific load unit types and packaging are selected for pick orders.PeakWMS innovationGives warehouse managers and operators complete transparency into the bin packing algorithm. By visualizing item placement, tested container options, and the winning packaging selection, users can quickly understand packaging decisions, verify dimension-based packing logic, and fine-tune box sizes and rules without guesswork.
New feature

User Profile: Gamification and achievements

Introduces user profiles featuring unlockable achievements based on warehouse activity and performance.PeakWMS innovationBrings gamification and recognition to daily warehouse operations. By celebrating individual milestones and operational performance directly on the user's profile, it boosts staff motivation and engagement across warehouse teams.
Other updates

Shopify: Support for "Unlisted" product status

Downloads and synchronizes Shopify products marked as Unlisted, preventing order import failures for direct-link purchases.
Feature requestEnsures PeakWMS recognizes and imports products sold via direct links in Shopify even when they are hidden from storefront search and collections. This prevents incoming orders containing unlisted items from stopping with "Product not found" alarms and eliminates manual order troubleshooting.

New features

New Visual Heat Map: Get an Overview of Picking Activity in the Warehouse

Under Reports in the menu, you will now find the new Pick Heat Map report, which provides a visual overview of where your warehouse staff pick the most items:

  • See warehouse hotspots with color coding: The report maps your warehouse layout (areas, racks, and floor locations) and highlights them using colors ranging from cool tones (few or no picks) to warm red tones (high picking activity). You can instantly identify the busiest aisles and locations.
  • Optimize product placement and reduce walking distances: By seeing where most picks occur, you can easily evaluate whether popular products should be moved closer to the packing area to reduce travel distances and save valuable time during daily picking operations.
  • View historical or pending picks: You can choose to see picking activity for a historical period (for example, the previous month) or display current pending pick orders to identify where today's workload is concentrated.
  • Drill down into the details: Click on a specific area, rack, or floor location to see exactly which products have been picked and what share of the activity they represent.

What does this mean for you?

An easy-to-understand visual tool that helps optimize warehouse layout, shorten picking routes, and improve overall warehouse efficiency.

Single piece pack: Bulk Label Printing for Single-Piece Packing

When packing single-piece orders using pick carts on the packing station, workflows are now significantly faster when an entire cart contains the exact same item:

  • Print all shipping labels at once: If a pick cart only contains one specific product (e.g., 30 orders of the exact same shirt or bottle of champagne), packing staff no longer need to scan the item 30 times. When the first item is scanned, the system automatically prompts whether you want to print shipping labels for all orders on the cart at once.
  • Rapid packing process: Because every item on the cart is identical, any label can be applied to any item. Packers can simply apply labels to packages in one continuous flow without repetitive scanning between each box.
  • Full operator control: If the packing team prefers packing one order at a time as usual, simply select »No« in the prompt — the system remembers this preference for the remainder of the cart.
  • Resilient exception handling: If any order on the cart is missing a shipping label from the carrier, all ready-to-print labels are printed automatically, while the remaining orders stay on the cart for individual resolution.

What does this mean for you?
Substantial time savings and less repetitive scanning when packing high-volume campaigns and bestseller products where many orders consist of the exact same single item.

Bin Packing: New Overview of Carton Calculation and Packaging Selection

Have you ever wondered why PeakWMS assigned a specific carrier type or carton to a pick order? PeakWMS now includes a dedicated Bin Packing Overview, making it easy to understand and verify the system's packaging decisions:

  • View calculation results directly: From the pick order, you can now open a detailed view that shows the carton calculation for the order's products and presents the complete result.
  • Clear overview of available packaging options: The screen displays the different carrier or packaging types that can accommodate the order, with a clear indication of the solution selected by the algorithm as the most optimal.
  • No more guessing about box selection: You no longer have to speculate why a particular box was chosen or whether the products could theoretically fit into a smaller one.

What does this mean for you?

Complete transparency regarding packaging selection and packing optimization. You can easily document and explain packaging decisions to warehouse staff and customers while quickly identifying if product master data or carrier type dimensions need adjustment.

Users: New User Profile with Achievements and Milestones

As part of making everyday work in PeakWMS more engaging and motivating, we are introducing a dedicated user profile with personal achievements:

  • Personal profile page: Every user now has their own profile page within the system, providing a quick overview of personal information and activities.
  • View your achievements: Users can see the milestones and trophies (achievements) they have earned through their work in PeakWMS, such as achievements based on picking activity and completed tasks.
  • Motivation and gamification in the warehouse: Provides warehouse employees with a fun and visual way to track progress, celebrate milestones, and encourage healthy internal motivation across the team.

What does this mean for you?

A more engaging work environment where employees can collect achievements and track their personal accomplishments directly from their PeakWMS profile.

Other updates

OpenAPI: Improved Visibility of Who Last Moved a Pallet or Load Carrier

If you use an external system (such as an ERP, transport management, or warehouse planning system) integrated with PeakWMS through OpenAPI to track load carriers and pallets, traceability has now been significantly improved:

  • Timestamp and employee information displayed directly: When your external system retrieves information about a load carrier or pallet, it will now automatically include details about who last handled or moved it and when the action took place.
  • Less need to contact the warehouse: Previously, planners using external systems could see that a pallet had arrived at a specific location, but not who placed it there or when. This often required contacting warehouse personnel for clarification.
  • Improved traceability: You now have direct access to the most recent event associated with the pallet within your own systems, making follow-up investigations and troubleshooting much faster.

What does this mean for you?

Greater transparency and faster access to information within your integrated systems, as you can always see exactly who last moved a pallet in the warehouse and when it happened.

Shopify: Support for “Unlisted” Products from Shopify

In Shopify, products can have the status Unlisted, meaning they are available for sale through a direct link (for example, exclusive offers, VIP customers, or member-only products) while remaining hidden from the webshop's standard categories and search results. PeakWMS now fully supports this status:

  • Products are imported automatically: Products with the Unlisted status are now synchronized and created in PeakWMS in exactly the same way as regular active products. This applies to product creation, updates, and automatic product downloads.
  • No more “Product Not Found” errors on orders: When a customer purchases an Unlisted product through a direct link, the order is now imported without issues. This eliminates missing product alerts and prevents unnecessary warehouse delays.
  • Manual product retrieval also includes Unlisted products: If you manually retrieve or update products through the Shopify integration, Unlisted products are now included automatically as well.

What does this mean for you?

You can confidently sell hidden and exclusive campaign products through direct Shopify links without the risk of orders getting stuck in PeakWMS.

Note: If you already have existing Unlisted products in Shopify that are not yet available in PeakWMS, you must run “Download Products” once from your Shopify integration to import them. If you do not have permission to start “Download Products”, please contact PeakWMS Support.

Updating products in Shopify also sends a webhook to PeakWMS, meaning products can be created through this process as well.

Shortcuts: New Smart Shortcuts in Order Details and Client Switching

We have added several new keyboard shortcuts and mouse functions to the administration interface, making daily navigation significantly faster:

  • Expand or collapse everything with a single shortcut (Ctrl + U): Within order details, you can now instantly open or close all sections at once, including pick orders, pick lines, return shipments, and shipping methods. This removes the need to expand each section individually when reviewing details. The functionality is also available within shipping setup, where pressing Ctrl + U expands all configured shipping methods.
  • Open links in a new tab using the mouse wheel: You can now use your mouse's middle button (scroll wheel) to click links and open them directly in a new browser tab.

What does this mean for you?

Less clicking and significantly faster navigation in the administration interface when reviewing order details or managing shipping configurations.

Bugfixes

Packaging Levels: Product Association Now Required When Creating Packaging Levels

When creating or editing packaging levels under Products > Packaging Levels, PeakWMS now ensures that every packaging level is linked to a valid product:

  • No more packaging levels without a product: The system now requires the Product field to be completed before a packaging level can be saved. If you try to save without selecting a product, you will receive a clear message indicating that a product must be selected before the packaging level can be created.
  • Product association cannot be removed during editing: For existing packaging levels, it is no longer possible to remove the associated product and save the record without a product linked to it.

What does this mean for you?

You avoid "orphaned" packaging levels in PeakWMS, helping ensure accurate data for goods receipt, picking operations, and inventory management across different package quantities.

Warehouse Transfers: Correct Webshop Inventory During Ongoing Warehouse Transfers

If you move products between warehouses using Warehouse Transfers, PeakWMS now ensures that the available inventory shown in your webshop remains accurate, even when transfers are shipped in multiple stages:

  • Reserved stock remains unavailable for webshop sales: When a warehouse transfer is created, the products involved are automatically excluded from the webshop's sellable inventory, preventing them from being sold to customers while the transfer is in progress.
  • No more unintended overselling during partial shipments: Previously, if a transfer was picked and shipped in several stages, a situation could occur where products that had not yet been picked were incorrectly added back to the webshop's available inventory as soon as the first shipment was in transit. This issue has now been resolved.
  • Products remain reserved until the transfer is complete: PeakWMS now correctly maintains reservations for all remaining transfer lines until the entire transfer has been picked and dispatched.

What does this mean for you?

You avoid webshop overselling when moving stock between warehouses in multiple stages, as PeakWMS will no longer release the remaining transfer quantities back to sale while they are still awaiting picking and shipment.
