New Features

Order Delivery Globe – Interactive 3D Globe

We are now introducing the Order Delivery Globe, a visual 3D globe that lets you follow your packed orders as they travel around the world, either in real time or as a historical timeline:

  • Visual journey from warehouse to customer: Every time an order is fully packed, the shipment is visualized as a glowing arc flying from your warehouse address directly to the customer's delivery destination on the globe.
  • Three different display modes:
    • Live: Follow shipments in real time as your packing team works. Perfect for displaying on a large screen in the warehouse or office.
    • Historical playback: Select a specific date or period (for example, Black Friday or a major campaign weekend) and replay all shipments from that period in chronological order, with controls for speed, pause, and rewind.
    • Simulation: Run a simulated data stream with random destinations, ideal for trade fairs, presentations, or demonstrations.
  • Automatic location mapping with privacy in mind: PeakWMS automatically determines the recipient's location based on postal code and country. No personally identifiable information such as customer names or street addresses is transmitted outside the system.

What does this mean for you?
An engaging and visual way to celebrate your warehouse team's efforts, monitor activity on large screens, and showcase your shipping operations.

Note: This feature is currently in BETA, and you may experience bugs or missing functionality. If you encounter any issues, please contact our support team.

You can find the globe under Dashboard > Globe.

Faster Filtering: Search for Fields in Advanced Search

When building filters and search criteria using Advanced Search in the administration area, it is now significantly easier to find the field you need:

  • Search directly in the field selector: You no longer need to manually scroll through long dropdown lists to find the correct field. Simply start typing the field name in the selector, and the list will be filtered instantly.
  • Quick overview in long lists: Especially in views containing many standard fields and custom fields (such as orders, items, or inventory), you can now locate the exact search field within seconds.

What does this mean for you?
Less scrolling and a faster workflow when setting up advanced searches and filters as part of your daily work.

Other Updates

Order Consolidation: Recording Pack Time for Consolidated Orders

When multiple orders are consolidated into a single shipment for the same recipient, the pack time is now transferred to each individual order included in the consolidation.

  • Pack time on individual outbound orders: Previously, the pack time was only recorded on the main order, while related sub-orders in a consolidated shipment did not receive a pack time. The timestamp is now automatically applied to all orders as soon as they are fully packed.
  • Improved visibility and sorting in order lists: Since all consolidated orders now have a recorded pack time, they can be accurately sorted, filtered, and distinguished in administration screens, reports, and data exports.
  • Faster customer service and full traceability: Customer service teams and warehouse managers can immediately see exactly when a specific order was packed directly from the order details, without needing to look up the picking order.

What does this mean for you?
Complete traceability and consistent timestamps across all orders, including those packed and shipped together in a single shipment.

Note: Pack times are not applied retroactively. Pack times will only be assigned to consolidated orders packed after this release.

Reports: Extended Serial Number Tracking Report Relocated and Available to Product Owners

The overview of all tracked serial numbers in the warehouse has been relocated and renamed to make it easier to find and distinguish from other reports. In addition, your product owners (3PL customers) can now benefit from it as well:

  • Moved to Reports as "Extended Serial Number Tracking": The table was previously hidden under Administration > Warehouse under the name "Serial Numbers in Stock", which could easily be confused with the existing report of the same name. It has now been moved to the Reports menu and renamed Extended Serial Number Tracking, making it easier to locate in daily operations.
  • Read-only access for product owners: Product owners can now be granted read-only access to the overview directly from their own login under Reports. They can only view serial numbers belonging to their own products and cannot create, edit, or delete data. This permission can be enabled on individual product owner roles in the user settings.
  • New name for the history view: The related history view in the expandable menu has also been renamed to "Extended Serial Number Tracking History".
  • Stable product owner administration: Deleting a product owner in administration now works correctly, even when serial numbers are registered on the product owner's items.

What does this mean for you?
No more confusion around serial number reports. The reports are now consolidated under Reports, and you can provide product owners with direct visibility into their own serial numbers without granting access to the administration menu.

Note: Remember to grant your own product-owner user roles access to the report via Settings > User Management > User Roles.

Purchasing: Purchase Order Errors Dialog Moved Directly to the "Purchasing" Menu

We have made the overview of discrepancies and issues registered during goods receipt (Purchase Order Errors) easier to access during daily operations:

  • Added directly to the "Purchasing" main menu: The list of issues registered on purchase orders during receipt is now available directly under the Purchasing menu, alongside other dialogs for purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier management.
  • Available to all account types: Previously, the overview was only accessible under Admin > Purchasing. This meant that users on plans such as Webshop Standard and Webshop Lite, who do not have access to the administration menu, could not access the list. All clients can now access the overview directly from the Purchasing menu.
  • Still managed through roles and permissions: Visibility is still controlled by user permissions. Administrators simply need to assign the Purchase Order Errors permission in the role configuration to employees who should be able to view and work with the list.

What does this mean for you?
A faster and more centralized overview of discrepancies and defects identified during goods receipt, located where you already manage your purchasing activities, without requiring access to the administration menu.

Shopify: Support for Pakkeshopper Pick-Up Points

When receiving orders from Shopify through the Pakkeshopper app, PeakWMS now automatically imports the correct pick-up point ID on outbound orders:

  • Automatic registration of pick-up locations: Pakkeshopper transfers the customer's selected pick-up point in a dedicated Shopify order attribute. PeakWMS now automatically reads this ID directly, ensuring that the correct collection point is always registered on the order, regardless of which carrier the customer chooses (e.g. GLS or PostNord).
  • No more asterisks (*) as pick-up point IDs: Previously, the pick-up point ID could be set to *, because the shipping code was missing the actual collection point number and was incorrectly interpreted based on an older format.
  • No need for custom integration scripts: You no longer need a special integration script to correct the pick-up point ID. PeakWMS now handles Pakkeshopper orders directly and reliably out of the box.
  • Correct mapping to shipping products: Orders are automatically linked to the correct shipping product in PeakWMS based on the carrier specified in the code (for example, pakkeshopper_gls_droppoint or pakkeshopper_postnord_droppoint).

What does this mean for you?
Shopify orders received through Pakkeshopper are always created with the customer's selected pick-up point, eliminating the need for custom scripts or manual corrections and ensuring shipping labels can be generated without interruptions.

Bug Fixes

Single Piece Packing: Serial Number Registration

When packing orders containing serial-number-controlled items using Single Piece Packing, serial number registration now works as expected on the packing screen:

  • Serial number pop-up opens automatically: When you scan a serial-number-controlled item at the packing station, the serial number registration dialog now opens immediately.
  • No more blocked orders in packing: Previously, packing could come to a standstill because the serial number dialog was not displayed, preventing employees from registering the serial number and completing the order.
  • Full traceability from packing to customer: Ensures that the correct serial number is always scanned and linked to the order before the package is closed and shipped.

What does this mean for you?
A seamless workflow when packing serial-number-controlled products with Single Piece Packing, allowing you to pack and register items quickly without interruptions at the packing station.

Single Piece Packing: Unnecessary Parking Pop-Up

When packing Single Piece orders from a Single Piece picking cart, the packing screen now correctly handles situations where a cart was only partially picked:

  • No incorrect parking dialog: If a picking cart contains multiple orders for the same item and one of the orders is zero-picked during picking (for example, because a shelf runs out of stock), scanning at the packing station no longer incorrectly triggers a "Park" warning for all items with that item number.
  • Pack picked items immediately: Items that are physically present on the cart can now be packed, scanned, and shipped without unnecessary interruptions or warnings.
  • Only the missing order is held back: Only the specific order affected by the stock shortage is placed on hold/parked, while the remaining orders are processed normally once packing is completed.

What does this mean for you?
You avoid unnecessary interruptions at the packing station and can complete all picked Single Piece orders without delays, even when one order for the same item could not be fully picked.

Order Release: Bundles Remain Intact

When Splitting Order Lines When an order line needs to be split across multiple inventory records or locations during Order Release, PeakWMS now preserves all information on the remaining quantity:

  • Bundles remain complete: If an ordered bundle cannot be fulfilled from a single inventory source and must be split, PeakWMS now retains the bundle relationship for the remaining quantity. This ensures that generated picking orders always contain complete bundles and never leave incomplete components behind.
  • Consistent release-rule processing: When using Order Release Rules, PeakWMS now remembers which rules have already been evaluated for the line. Rules that have already been bypassed are not incorrectly evaluated again for remaining quantities.
  • BOGO conditions are preserved: Special line conditions, such as a Buy One Get One item being limited to one per order, are now retained correctly when order lines are split.

What does this mean for you?
You avoid incomplete bundles on picking orders and ensure a predictable and stable order release process, even when inventory must be sourced from multiple locations.

Configurable Order Release: Improved Full-Pallet Selection

When using Configurable Order Release to pick full pallets or cartons from buffer storage, PeakWMS now always selects the most suitable pallet:

  • Selects suitable pallets instead of rejecting the order: If an order requires a specific quantity (for example, 30 units) and both 30-unit pallets and 48-unit pallets are available in buffer storage, PeakWMS now automatically selects the pallet that matches the order. Previously, PeakWMS could encounter the oversized pallet first and incorrectly fail the rule, resulting in an "Insufficient stock" error or unwanted piece picking.
  • Prioritizes the largest matching pallet: If multiple pallet sizes fit within the ordered quantity, PeakWMS automatically selects the largest suitable pallet first to minimize handling.
  • Correct fallback if no pallet fits: If no available pallet can fulfill the order as a full pallet, the order is still correctly routed to standard picking or replenishment.

What does this mean for you?
More reliable full-pallet allocation from buffer storage, preventing valid orders from failing or being unnecessarily routed to manual picking simply because larger pallets were also available.

Warehouse: Improved Rack Location Validation and Protection of Reserved System Names

We have strengthened validation when creating and editing locations to ensure warehouse structures remain consistent and inventory counts stay accurate:

  • No duplicate location assignments: A location can belong to either an area, a rack, or a picking cart, but never more than one at the same time. PeakWMS now prevents rack locations from also being assigned directly to an area. Existing locations have automatically been cleaned up to remain assigned only to their rack.
  • Accurate inventory counts in reports and integrations: If a location was previously linked to both a rack and an area, inventory could in some cases be counted twice. With the new validation, inventory is always counted exactly once across reports, replenishment calculations, purchasing requirements, and webshop/ERP synchronizations.
  • Protection of reserved location names: Rack and shelf locations can no longer be named using system-reserved names (for example, names reserved for parking locations, shipping locations, or LOST_AND_FOUND locations). This applies to manual creation, editing, and Excel imports.
  • Reliable parking of zero-picked items: When orders or items are parked (for example, due to partial or zero picking), the items are always placed in the warehouse's official parking location and appear correctly in the parked-order overview.

What does this mean for you?
You avoid accidental warehouse configuration issues and are guaranteed accurate inventory figures across reports, integrations, and picking workflows.

Shipping: Labels Are Now Retrieved at the Correct Time

We have fixed an issue where PeakWMS could request a shipping label too early, while an order was still being picked or before the configured trigger point in the shipping setup:

  • Respects shipping method label-generation settings: If your shipping method under Outbound > Shipping Methods is configured to generate labels during Packing or Order Delivery, PeakWMS now always respects that setting. It will no longer request shipping labels or tracking numbers simply because a picking round has been completed.
  • Waits for the entire order to be picked (consolidation): If an order is split across multiple picking orders, such as when inventory is picked from multiple warehouses or picking rounds, PeakWMS now waits until all order items have been picked before contacting the carrier.
  • Correct proforma invoices and customs handling: Since the carrier only receives shipment information when the order is complete, customs invoices always contain the full and correct product contents. This reduces the risk of export shipments being delayed in customs or customers receiving incomplete documentation.

What does this mean for you?
No more prematurely created shipments with carriers. Customs documents and invoices will always reflect the actual shipment contents for export orders and consolidated shipments.

Returns Portal: Country Dropdown

We have improved the country dropdown used throughout PeakWMS, including the Returns Portal, manual shipping label creation, and integration setup:

  • Correct flags and country names when using browser translation: If a customer used automatic browser translation (such as Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) within the Returns Portal, flags and country names could previously become mismatched. PeakWMS now ensures flags and country names always remain aligned and that searches match the displayed country.
  • Smooth and complete scrolling: The dropdown menu now adapts to available screen space, scrolls smoothly, and makes it easy to navigate the full list of countries.
  • Dynamic resizing during search: When filtering by country name, the dropdown automatically adjusts its height to the number of matching countries, eliminating unnecessary empty space.

What does this mean for you?
Your customers can always select the correct sender country in the Returns Portal without confusion caused by incorrect flags, and you benefit from a more stable and user-friendly country selector throughout the system.

Note: The country list always uses English country names, regardless of the Returns Portal or browser translation settings.

Delivery note: Items Are Grouped on a Single Line Instead of Per Partial Pick

When an item is picked in multiple stages from different warehouse locations within the same picking order, it is now automatically grouped onto a single line on the packing slip:

  • One consolidated line per ordered item: The packing slip now displays the total quantity on a single order line. Previously, each partial pick was printed on its own line, requiring customers to manually add quantities together when reconciling their delivery.
  • Faster and more accurate goods receipt for customers: Recipients receive a clean and easy-to-read packing slip that matches the order confirmation, eliminating confusion about delivered quantities.
  • Reprint existing packing slips with the new layout: Existing packing slips on completed orders are not updated automatically, but can easily be regenerated using "New Packing Slip" from the picking order in the order overview.
  • LOT numbers, BBD dates, and serial numbers continue to be displayed on the packing slip.

What does this mean for you?
Your customers receive a clear packing slip that makes it easy to verify shipment contents against their order.

Delivery note: Correct Number of Shipment Units on Consolidated Packing Slips

When Delivering Orders Without Labels When orders are delivered using the Order Delivery workflow without printing shipping labels, consolidated packing slips now display the correct number of shipment units:

  • Counts one shipment unit per delivered picking order: If your setup is configured not to print shipping labels during Order Delivery, the consolidated packing slip previously displayed "0" shipment units. PeakWMS now automatically counts one shipment unit per picking order included in the delivery.
  • Clear information for carriers and recipients: Since the packing slip physically accompanies the shipment, it now always provides an accurate count of shipment units or parcels instead of incorrectly showing zero.
  • Unchanged behavior when labels are used: If shipping labels are printed during delivery and packages are registered against the order, shipment units continue to reflect the actual number of recorded parcels.

What does this mean for you?
Accurate packing slips for order deliveries, helping avoid confusion about parcel counts when shipments are delivered without shipping labels.

Note: Requires use of the "Order Delivery" workflow and shipping methods configured to retrieve labels during Order Delivery.

Packing: Correct Line Allocation

When Resetting Packing for Serial-Number-Controlled Items If packing is reversed or reset at the packing station, PeakWMS now ensures serial-number-controlled items remain linked to their original order lines:

  • No mixing of order lines: If the same item appears on multiple order lines in the same outbound order (for example, 1 unit on line 1 and 3 units on line 2), quantities are no longer merged incorrectly onto a single line when packing is reset.
  • Preserves order lines during all undo actions: Whether the employee selects "Reset Packing", "Undo Order Selection", or steps back from label scanning, items are always returned to the exact order line they originally belonged to.
  • Correct webshop updates during repacking: Previously, repacking could cause the webshop to register fulfillment on only one order line while leaving another incomplete. With this fix, the webshop receives the correct fulfillment distribution across all order lines, allowing the order to complete as expected.

What does this mean for you?
You can safely reset and repack orders containing serial numbers without the risk of order lines being merged or webshop fulfillment becoming inconsistent.

Order Consolidation/Packing: Merging Picked and Parked Orders

When a picking order is scanned at the packing station and a parked picking order already exists, PeakWMS automatically offers to merge the orders before packing begins. This process now works correctly for consolidated orders as well:

  • Reliable merging at the packing station: If a picking order contains items from multiple customer orders that are to be shipped together, confirming the merge in the "Parked Order(s)" dialog no longer results in a technical error. The dialog closes as expected and packing can continue immediately.
  • Automatic consolidation of items and containers: All picked items and order lines from the parked order are automatically transferred to the active picking order and its picking container. The temporary parking carrier is released, ensuring items no longer appear at the parking location.
  • Correct order status updates: Both the primary order and any consolidated orders are automatically updated to reflect the correct status based on the combined picked quantities.
  • Uninterrupted packing workflow: Packers can complete and ship the entire package immediately without interruptions, rescanning, or manual intervention.

What does this mean for you?
No more blocked shipments at the packing station. You can confidently merge and pack partially parked orders in a single workflow, even when multiple customer orders are shipped together.

Heatmap: Faster Loading of Heatmaps for Large Warehouse Areas

When analyzing warehouse activity using the Pick Heatmap report, historical data now loads quickly and reliably, even in large warehouse areas with many racks and locations:

  • No more timeouts or errors at area level: Viewing historical data for large areas with many shelf and floor locations could previously exceed time limits and result in an "Unknown error" message. The query has now been optimized for fast and stable performance.
  • Faster analysis across long periods: You can now easily analyze longer date ranges (for example, 30 days or more) and drill into specific warehouse areas to identify picking frequency and high-activity "hot zones".
  • 100% unchanged and accurate figures: The optimization affects performance only. All aggregated picking statistics, rack summaries, floor-location figures, and top-item analyses remain fully aligned with warehouse-wide totals.

What does this mean for you?
You can analyze picking patterns and operational bottlenecks across even your largest warehouse areas without waiting for reports to load or worrying about timeouts.
